FLI’s first offshore pumpdown deployment in a highly deviated well delivers an integrity survey in half the time.

FiberLine Intervention has been used to perform an integrity survey in a highly deviated well in the Northern North Sea. Using a pumpdown technique, FLI was able to rapidly survey the wellbore to identify the source of a leak, within around half the time required for a tractor deployed wireline survey.

FLI has been pumped down into more than 100 land wells in North
America, but this was the first pump-down operation to be carried out offshore.

Our case study demonstrates that the technique was fast and effective without any detrimental effect on the fibre. This opens up a wider range of survey opportunities for extended reach and highly deviated offshore wells.
